Job Summary

Collaborates with members of an interdisciplinary team to assist patients and families with complex psychosocial needs. Corewell School Based Health Clinics and Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health Programs are located on school grounds. Corewell Health Teen Health Center-Taylor is a school linked program which is free-standing. Staff members work closely with school administration to provide interventions to students during the school day. These interventions may include, but are not exclusive to clinical therapy, crisis intervention, group therapy, and psychoeducation groups.

Essential Functions

  • Conducts psychosocial assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning with patients and or families.

  • Utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities to provide short- and long-term psychotherapy to students and families.
  • Completes all documentation in the electronic medical record, accurately reflecting the patient’s current condition, situational factors, and psychosocial imperatives and supporting billing and ethical guidelines.
  • Refers and educates patients/families regarding community resources and provides follow-up.
  • Engages in clinical and professional consultation and supervision.
  • Supports performance improvement initiatives based on patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for own professional growth and development.
  • Provides mental health evidenced based curriculum to students. Responsible for tracking and entering data for grant reports and following all grant requirements.

Qualifications

  • Required Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling
  • 2 years of relevant experience Master’s prepared experience with youth in clinical therapy and crisis intervention Required
  • LIC-Professional Counselor (LPC) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
  • LIC-Master Social Worker (MSW-Master) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
