Summary:
Assists with developing and leading classroom activities and developmentally appropriate programs.Responsibilities:
Applies knowledge of learning principles to engage the children in appropriate activities.Supervises children to ensure safety. Ensures classroom meets local licensing standards.Works collaboratively with the teacher to assess learning/development needs and to develop age appropriate learning solutions.Attends periodical staff meetings.Assist the teacher with implementing the teaching schedule and curriculum.Follows accreditation and licensing policies and practices.Assist teachers with course progress report procedures.Competencies:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Six months experience working or volunteering with children.
