Job Description:

Director Architecture – Asset Management Technology

 

The person playing the Director Architecture role would work on designing and architecting applications for Fidelity’s Asset Management business.  

 

The key responsibilities include:

• Design Highly Available, Scalable, resilient solutions for applications operating in the cloud

• Prototyping and solution recommendation for implementing business capabilities

• Collaborate with key partners & influence in adopting emerging technologies

• Coach the engineers to deliver robust solutions

Must have

·         Deep experience in architecting, designing & building highly scalable applications

·         Proven ability to architect applications to operate in the cloud

·         Expertise to evaluate, prototype, and recommend open source or vendor technologies           

·         High awareness of emerging technologies & architectural patterns

·         Ability to create solutions agnostic of technologies. #poly-tech #versatalist

·         Expertise in designing & implementing complex distributed systems involving
Micro-services & Event-driven architectures

  Proven experience of implementing ETL systems Proven experience of working with relational databases Expertise in developing and deploying applications on AWS Hands-on experience with containers (Docker) Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Experienced in Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins  (Data modeling, PL-SQL, Performance tuning, etc.,) Hands-on experience in developing applications using java & Spring ecosystem Hands-on experience in developing applications using Messaging or Streaming

  Hands-on experience in developing Angular applications Basic-Intermediate skills with Python eco-system Exposure to Non-relational Databases Exposure to Apache ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ/Kafka/Kinesis Exposure to Kubernetes is an added advantage AWS Certification is an added advantage CNCF Kubernetes certification is an added advantage Proven ability to design & execute performance tests. Ability to identify performance bottlenecks & resolve them Thorough knowledge of CI/CD processes, DevOps & SRE is an added advantage
