The Opportunity
Abbott Molecular has an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst, Operations FP&A. This position primarily supports the Abbott Molecular Global Operations & Supply Chain Organization and is ideal for someone seeking to broaden their experience in financial planning, reporting, and manufacturing cost accounting. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who continuously drives for improvement, challenges the status quo, and will be a valued business partner to move the organization forward through execution of timely, accurate, and high-quality financial planning and analysis.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main responsibilities include:
- Sr Financial Analyst (FP&A) is a key finance stakeholder who works primarily with Operations and Supply Chain business partners leading all aspects of the financial planning, forecasting and financial execution processes for the division manufacturing operations.
- Standard Costing including SAP costing activities. financial planning, reporting and analysis for annual PLAN, LBE and actuals cycles, or ad hoc projects as needed.
- Support strategic project financial analysis including margin improvement, capacity programs and related DCF/ROI calculations in support of investment decisions.
- Working with all areas of the business and others in the finance team to review results and explain variances. Meet with business partners to prepare well supported quarterly LBEs for P&L and Balance sheet items.
- Process Improvements - Identify areas that can be improved and constructively propose new solutions that drive efficiencies. Develop and utilize sound financial processes to drive improved business performance.
- Corporate/Division financial policies and procedures and understanding of GAAP. Responsible for adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs).
- Relationships - Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external business.
- Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals, and objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Strategic and innovative thinker that will challenge status quo and become a cross-functional business partner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced Skills in MS Excel preferred.
- Proficiency with TM1/SAP/HFM, preferably proficiency with SAP Standard costing processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced excel skills.
- SAP experience
- MBA or CPA desired
- Standard Cost setting experience
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance.
