Position Overview
A User Experience Researcher at Autodesk is a relentless customer advocate, possesses a passion for human-centered design, and has a track record of executing impactful research with cross-functional teams. Our Experience Researchers leverage a variety of research methods and work in lockstep with their teams to envision, validate, and ship high-quality experiences our customers will love. The role will require sharp research and communication skills, and a collaborative and proactive mind-set to work closely with different product teams.
You will report to the Delivery Research Practice Manager within the GET XD Experience Insights team. We are a critical part of the GET team, a team within COO that designs, develops, and supports intelligent, data-driven, digital-first solutions that serve our customers throughout their entire journey. We provide innovative solutions for our go-to-market teams to assist customers across this same journey, while also delivering modern tools for Finance to streamline order processing and cash management.

Responsibilities
Planning and executing customer research to enable design and product teams to “build the thing right”
Employing a range of research methods, including usability studies, customer interviews and contextual inquiry, including AI-based tools and methods
Communicating and presenting research findings and insights in a clear and compelling way
Partnering with other researchers on our team and with the broader research community at Autodesk to share and evangelize research findings, collaborate on projects to understand our customers’ end-to-end journey
Coordination with adjacent teams such as our Service Design/ Journey Management team for effective cataloging and application of insights
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of professional user research experience
Track record of qualitative results impacting product development
Up-to-date toolkit of research methods, including experience with effective use of AI to progress research practices
Ability to collaborate with a wide set of stakeholders including designers, product managers, and software developers
Ability to execute in a fast-paced, agile environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence
Demonstrated inquisitive mind and empathy for customers
Value for collaboration and bringing your team along with you
Eagerness to work in the complex and derive simple valuable solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in cognitive or experimental psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, or related field
Experience with Fullstory or similar analytics tools and experience partnering with analytics teams
Experience with tools like Miro, Slack, User Testing, Dovetail and Figma
Familiarity with lean UX and lean research methodologies
Experience with agile software development
