Our AI Networking team is looking to hire a student interested in researching and developing solutions for the most pressing networking challenges of the world's fastest AI and HPC supercomputers. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for investigating, crafting, and implementing new protocols and algorithms that enable the best performance possible on NVIDIA networked supercomputers. This role offers you an excellent opportunity to deliver production-grade solutions, get hands-on with ground-breaking technology, and work closely with top technical leaders in shaping and innovating next-generation networking technologies.

What you'll be doing:

The team is responsible for developing high-performance communication frameworks running in the production of the largest AI clusters. The work environment is dynamic and adventurous; we are innovating and inventing software products at the forefront of technology in terms of performance, scalability, and features. In addition, our team works closely with networking chip design teams in co-designing new hardware features and software APIs.

What we need to see:

  • Student for M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
  • Experience in ML/AI workloads, particularly in distributed training, including knowledge in Pytorch or equivalent
  • Experience in Programming in C/C++ and Python, together with Linux environment and tools
  • Problem-Solving Approach: Ability to break down complex problems into actionable components.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and operating systems

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge of communication libraries such as NCCL, UCX, and UCC.
  • Knowledge of Networking Protocols such as Ethernet, InfiniBand, IP, TCP
  • Previous work experience as a software developer
  • Open Source Software Contributor
