Senior Product Managers are like product managers, but their responsibilities are bigger in scope. The Senior Product Manager has a thorough understanding of the product management experience, project management, product marketing and tech. Senior Product Managers will help lead and mentor other product managers while coordinating with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams. They develop the product requirements and roadmaps, as well as incorporate feedback from customers into the product strategy. Key responsibilities 

  • Key contributor and shaper of practice and product level strategy 
  • Effectively manages and evangelizes areas of ownership across all stakeholders 
  • Leads high-impact cross-functional projects, oversees complex areas, champions process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality, and collaborates closely with development and design teams 
  • Drives and owns the content, quality and efficiency of communication within their teams and beyond through effective documentation practices, process improvements and otherwise 
  • Leads and strategizes major product and functional launches across multiple areas. Works with stakeholders including Sales, Marketing and others to ensure successful market entry and adoption through marketing collateral, presentations and other downstream means executed by more junior associates 
  • Takes a leadership role in performance monitoring and analysis across multiple product areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, consolidate and execute on insights 
  • Establishes a track record of being consultative, often driving new client initiatives and garnering excitement for our roadmap. Takes a leadership role in client engagement and is seen as a key contact for several product areas 
  • Leads stakeholder collaboration efforts, proactively engaging key stakeholders, orchestrating cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational strategies, and driving product initiatives 
  • Enhances our internal processes, examining all aspects from client requests to product launch, assisting in identifying new reporting and evaluation metrics to enhancing overall efficiency and client satisfaction 
  • Serves as a formal mentor to other product managers, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering their growth in key areas of product management 

 

Requirements, skills, and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree. 8+ years working product management. Preferably with experience in financial services software, as either supplier or user  
  • Significant experience in product lifecycle management and working in an agile environment.   
  • Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.  
  • Strong problem-solving skills with creative approach  
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude  
  • Well-rounded understanding of the needs of financial advisors and their clients  
  • Experience in financial services software, as either supplier or user preferred  
  • Experience in creating and delivering a great customer experience  
  • Ability to understand and participate in technical discussions  
  • Experience working directly with customers/clients  
  • Ability to present, with confidence, new solutions for existing problems to colleagues and managers  
  • Must be able and willing to work in our hybrid office environment working three days per week onsite in our Weston, MA office
