As a Fleet Tech - Field Service at United Rentals, you will transport 8’ wide Mobile Storage equipment in a safe manner and perform jobsite work such as block, level, skirt, etc. You will also diagnose and repair Mobile Storage units on customer job-sites. You will work closely with all branch members to ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards. What you’ll do:

  • Fleet Delivery/Setup & Teardown/Pickup of 8’ Wide Mobile Offices

  • Review Drivers’ Dispatch Sheet for clarity, including directions to customer jobsites

  • Complete inspection prior to pickup

  • Complete scheduled site services

  • Complete all required documentation

  • Complete service call repairs

  • Complete necessary installation & setup

  • Equipment Cleanliness; Meet cleanliness standards on each & every assignment

  • Care & Control of Tools & Supplies

  • Operate equipment in a safe manner

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Demonstrate proper usage of hand tools, including cordless drill, air hose/compressor, buffer, heat gun, propane torch, air tools, tile cutter, saws, auger, fork lift, etc.

  • Knowledge of repairing, removing and installing floors, tile, roofs, walls, framing, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, painting, electrical, plumbing, filters/dampers, replacing skin, trim.

  • Knowledge of framing, welding/torches, replacing paneling/gypsum, tongue/cranks, axles, container doors/semi doors, cargo doors, spray painting

  • Familiarity with hooking mobile office to power source

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
