Job Description:

We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent's kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator you will support a small and experienced, engaged and dedicated team and play a pivotal part in the planning and implementing of wellbeing activities for the residents of St Vincent’s Care, Eltham.

Duties include:

  • Planning and coordinating events, bus outings and group activities
  • Coordinating the provision of recreational and social programs that enhance the well-being of our residents
  • Assisting each resident individually in accordance with their lifestyle care plan document and ensuring information is recorded accurately
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, social and spiritual needs of our residents and their families
  • Assisting with meaningful and enriching activities that provide choice to each resident

What's on your CV is important, but what's in your heart matters more.

Things that work for us:

  • Previous experience in an Aged Care setting (desirable, not essential)
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or diversional therapy (desirable, not essential)
  • Previous experience working with and supporting a collaborative team approach
  • Understanding of dementia (desirable, not essential)
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Sound Computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Vaccinated (and up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19
  • National Police Certificate
