Job Description
BJCSaint Luke's HealthCare are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Primary Care Clinic on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO. This is a dynamic role where you’ll lead patient care coordination, manage clinical workflows, and ensure high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Shift: Shifts fall between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No nights or weekends!)
The Role
As a Clinical Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to provide professional care while serving as a subject matter expert for patient education and assessment. You will be the "anchor" of the clinical team, balancing autonomous decision-making with seamless collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Excellence: Perform patient assessments, order entry, medication administration, and telephone triage.
- Care Coordination: Manage patient flow, schedule emergent appointments, and coordinate with providers and the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.
- Leadership: Delegate tasks to clinical staff (LPNs/MAs) based on scope of practice and supervise the delivery of care.
- Patient Advocacy: Identify learning needs for families, provide expert advice/recommendations, and handle documentation and testing interpretation.
- Versatility: Support the clinic by covering MA/LPN duties or office tasks as needed and managing expired samples.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active RN license .
- Certification: Current BLS certification.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication, and a professional demeanor focused on superior customer service.
