We are the Core Buyer engineering team that helps deliver engaging customer experiences for our buyers. We own Buyer Experience domains (Homepage, My eBay, Vertical Landing Pages, Deals, Events, Saves) and help deliver innovative solutions like Vault, eBay Live Shopping, Value Added Services for our Focus Categories like Collectibles (Trading Cards, Comics, Toys), Fashion and Parts and Accessories. We are looking for highly collaborative, smart, driven engineers who can help us reshape the future of our mobile application. You'll be working with a world class team of engineers, designers, product managers, business partners and analysts in a fun environment building world-class customer experiences.
Responsibilities
Leading architecture development and solving problems that span domains and systems.
Implementing tests and responsible software development practices.
Getting into the details, investigating issues, writing code, performing code reviews, and prototyping new solutions.
Providing expert feedback for code quality, performance, scalability, system architecture, and engineering methodologies.
Modernizing and advocating for continuous improvement of the technology stack when applicable by driving change though the organization.
Shepherding multiple teams and collaborating effectively with product, design and engineering teams across multiple domains and multiple geographies
Growing your team through coaching, mentoring
Job Requirements:
10+ years of experience designing, building and releasing iOS applications using industry standard patterns, with deep experience in both Swift and Objective-C.
Proven track record in architecting common libraries and patterns for use in large scale applications with 50+ engineers.
Deep experience in unit testing and functional UI testing with XCTest / XCUITest.
Deep experience with Xcode and all of its lovely quirks.
Experience with modern design patterns such as MVVM, VIPER, RIBS, etc.
Experience with patterns for achieving feature modularity.
Experience with reactive programming using Combine or RxSwift.
Experience in integration with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL), network debugging (e.g. Charles)
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience working with services teams to design optimal mobile services contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SwiftUI.
Experience with project tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira)
Master's degree in Computer Science, or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience
Excellent documentation skills.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$168,400 - $262,900Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
