Position Summary:

We are seeking a Lead Decision Scientist to join our dynamic team focused on advancing AI products within the consumer analytics space. This role will be pivotal in driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and innovative analytics solutions across our contact center AI products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in analytics, a passion for healthcare and AI, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business value.

Position Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Leadership and Portfolio Management (60%)

  • Design and implement robust portfolio management processes to track business impact, ROI, and leading indicators across multiple AI products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance tools that provide transparency and insights to business leaders, including dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including data scientists, senior management, and marketing teams, to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives.

Hands-On Analytics and Innovation (30%)

  • Act as a strategic leader and hands-on contributor to develop and launch emerging analytic products, including defining product scope, economic modeling, and funding strategies.
  • Explore and evaluate innovation partnerships and new engagement models, synthesizing industry trends to inform decisions on product development and business case creation.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage project timelines, adapt to changing requirements, and ensure iterative progress toward product goals.

Team Development and Mentorship (10%)

  • Contribute to the development of a culture focused on strategic thinking and operational excellence within the analytics team.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing insights and best practices, and conducting workshops to enhance their analytical and problem-framing skills.

Required Skills:

  • Critical Reasoning: Ability to operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and analytics, providing insights that drive business decisions.
  • Proactivity: A self-starter who takes initiative to address organizational priorities and build effective processes.
  • Portfolio Management: Experience managing multiple priorities and keeping projects organized and on track.
  • Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail in a complex, data-driven environment.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile principles and practices, with experience in leading Agile teams or projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of business experience, with a minimum of 4 years leading product initiatives that demonstrate business impact.
  • Advanced experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and other productivity software.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and large language models (LLMs), with the ability to leverage these technologies to enhance analytics and decision-making processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of people management experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of the intersection between healthcare, technology, and analytics.

Education:

  • The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or business administration.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
