Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Taos, NM. In this role, you will provide community-based psychiatric nursing services to individuals with serious mental illness, helping them achieve stability, independence, and improved quality of life.

This is a unique opportunity to work outside of a traditional clinical setting and make a direct impact in the community.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric nursing care in community-based settings (home visits, field work, office)

  • Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, and monitor effectiveness

  • Conduct health assessments and ongoing wellness checks

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, therapy, case management)

  • Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilization

  • Educate clients and families on medication and health management

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation

 


 

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico

  • Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
