American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT – NYSE: GBTG) is looking for a Junior Sales Enablement Manager (Commercial Learning) to join the Global Sales Enablement (GSE) team. GSE is at the heart of Amex GBT’s commercial function, supporting learning and field effectiveness.  

We are seeking an eager to learn, self-motivated Junior Commercial Learning /Enablement Manager to create training programs, materials, and resources to support our onboarding curriculum. Content will be created by using existing resources and in partnership with subject matter experts. Experience in learning and development within a SAAS or travel company is strongly preferred.  

In this junior role, you will work closely with members of the GSE team to help ramp up a new sales and commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to extend their experience in a global organisation. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning and development or sales enablement, understanding learning technologies and adult learning principles. You will be responsible ensuring that our commercial teams are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and tools to succeed. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Create, coordinate, and schedule an onboarding program for new employees. 

  • Help develop and execute onboarding content for new hires within the commercial teams, ensuring a quick ramp-up to full productivity. 

  • Help design and deliver tailored learning and development programs for commercial teams, including sales and client management, that align with business objectives and drive performance improvement. 

  • Support Sales Training including product training, sales methodologies, objection handling, negotiation techniques, and communication skills, to ensure the team is equipped for success. 

  • Content Creation: Help develop and curate engaging training content, including presentations, job aids, learning guides, and interactive e-learning tools, to ensure that training is accessible and impactful. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product Marketing) to ensure training programs are aligned with overall business strategies and product offerings. 

  • Technology Utilization: Leverage learning management systems (LMS), sales enablement platforms, and other learning technologies to enhance the delivery and tracking of training initiatives. 

  • Develop knowledge checks. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

Education:  

  • A degree in business, Learning and Development, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Professional certifications in learning & development or sales enablement is a plus. 

 

Experience:  

  • Business Travel experience preferred. 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a learning and development role, with a focus on sales or commercial functions. Experience in B2B sales environments is preferred. 

 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles 

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills 

  • Ability to analyse and report on performance metrics   

  • Proficiency in LMS and e-learning platforms 

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously 

  • Self-starter who can work independently.
