DIGITAL OVERVIEW:
At U.S. Bank, the Digital team is responsible for setting and executing our enterprise-wide digital strategy. We drive incremental growth, increased engagement, loyalty, and retention by delivering excellent experiences. We digitize and automate banking wherever possible, enabling customers to complete tasks on their own when they wish, and pair that with physical branches for when they want help. The Digital team works to empower our customers to make decisions with data and advanced analytics, so they can bank when, where, and how they want, with Insights that help them manage their money.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Agilists at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed with a focus on serving product teams, ensuring all product vision, planning and development activities are rooted in Agile and Product Values & Principles. Agilist enables the organization to consistently experiment and evolve business strategy based on prior outcomes and feedback. They drive culture change through day to day to work with a focus on Agile & Product mindset, values and continuous improvement and keep the team focused on achieving product goals using agile methods.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCT STRATEGY, VISION, AND PLANNING
Owns the agile practices of the team/product group/journey including cross-portfolio impacts, planning, dependency maps, OKRs and key metrics for success in partnership with Product Management, business partners, digital and technology modelling agile methods, values, and principles.
Enables the organization to consistently experiment and evolve business strategy based on prior outcomes and feedback loops.
Provides regular communication to stakeholders and partners for transparency and awareness of outcomes and impediments; creates visual displays and communications with key information and agile updates for leadership.
Implements and leads tactics using agile tools for product roadmaps, OKRs, sprint planning, backlog refinement and collaboration (tools include JIRA, Confluence, Dragonboat, Mural, KYT metrics).
Champions and coaches on agile ways of working and mindset. Focuses on agile methods for prioritization, supports product management routines such as QPP, scaling the Shield Way of Working Toolkit, and builds the expertise of the team through coaching and training.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Advocates for whole, healthy teams and maintains the team roster. Partners to ensure teams are staffed, persistent, and have the roles/skills needed. Also ensures teams are self-organizing, collaborative, and connected across siloes; shelters team from distractions and protects the sprint.
Leads and directs the teams to ensure that product discovery and delivery (dual track agile) is continuously improving. Ensures work is consistently scoped, planned, funded, prioritized in the product backlog in partnership with product manager. Ensures teams are aligned to support successful delivery.
Owns agile tactics such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, working agreements, charters, team routines, team rosters, dependency maps. Also, in partnership with product management helps refine Definition of Done, MVP (coaching), Personas, and Story Maps and supports refining the backlog as a member of the team.
Manages and simplifies governance, audit, and evidence aspects of delivering product work in support of the strategic roadmaps and business objectives in partnership with product management and risk management.
CHANNEL ALIGNMENT AND MANAGEMENT
Establishes cadences and routines (i.e., Scrum of Scrums) to support cross portfolio prioritization and connections via product roadmaps, dependencies, working across silos. Provides a view of how far the team is and how far they must go (progress, timing), with a focus on outcomes over output.
ADOPTION
A transformational advocate who fosters the agile & product mindsets and challenges the status quo across their portfolio/products/teams in a matrixed team approach.
Creates and executes agile surveys and retros which inform agile roadmaps, to gain maturity in ways of working across the portfolio/product.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT AND OPTIMIZATION
Establishes and monitors team/agile metrics to improve the discovery and delivery of the team related to customer outcomes and continuous improvement.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Proficient agile practice professional, typically, with 3-5 years of experience
Experience managing large or multiple product teams
Experience working with high visibility products with high complexity product features
Strong technology background and familiarity managing front-end (React-iOs-Android) deliverables in addition to Back-end technology (API) related work
Experience working with Design (UX) teams
Proven successful track record of delivery and support at a portfolio level
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $132,260.00 - $155,600.00 - $171,160.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
