The Role

Join our outstanding team as Field Engineering 1! This engineering role within the Field Engineering (FE) team focuses on delivering flawless support and proactive services, dedicated to improving customer IT operational health in assigned accounts. By ensuring the successful implementation and operation of Adobe products, we aim to elevate customer happiness, reduce support costs, and provide critical insights for product improvements.

We want a proactive technical candidate with a strong history in development, consulting, or support, combined with proven experience in customer-facing roles and relationship cultivation. As a Field Engineer, you will offer forward-thinking services, deliver expert counsel, and champion the customer's technical needs within Adobe. You will engage with various groups, such as Account Management, support, consulting, Tech-Ops, and engineering, to handle technical concerns efficiently and achieve project goals and deadlines. Your in-depth expertise in Adobe products and technologies will empower customers to prevent difficulties, lessen risks, and successfully transition through changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver proactive and preventative services
  • Provide notifications of upcoming releases and their potential impact
  • Guide customers through complex environment changes
  • Offer onsite and production support
  • Conduct regular knowledge transfer sessions
  • Coordinate customer technical issues with support, engineering, and consulting teams
  • Handle technical issues, both scheduled and unexpected
  • Conduct customer status calls and reporting
  • Perform regular service reviews

Requirements:

  • Multi-year experience in complex enterprise IT environments in roles such as consulting, support, account management, or development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven presentation skills and experience leading high-profile customer interactions
  • Ability to analyze enterprise software issues (Java, web-server, network, OS, DB/SQL)

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Must-have: Customer-facing experience in enterprise projects, object-oriented programming (Java), SQL, Javascript, AngularJS, JQuery, CSS, MongoDB, web-server technologies
  • Nice-to-have: Apache Sling, JCR, CQ/AEM, CRM, Adobe Analytics, or other Marketing Cloud solutions
  • Relevant skills: Enterprise software (Windows Server, Linux, Unix, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Oracle, SQL, Java)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in Analytical Problem Solving, Building Customer/Partner Relationships, Confidence, Cross-Boundary Collaboration, Impact and Influence, Interpersonal Awareness, Project Management, Strategic Insight, Product & Technology Expertise, Value Selling.
