The Director of Operational Transformation will be a catalyst for change by proactively identifying opportunities that will deliver measurable improvement in client delivery and operational effectiveness. In this role, the leader will bridge Product initiatives with Operations working collaboratively across workstreams to deliver objectives in a sustainable manner that are efficient, effective, and fit for purpose.
Adoption of AI, process improvement and activity on non-product team-related change management activities are also required to achieve the desired change. As a strategic advisor, you will work with operations and product group leadership to define and implement appropriate transformation and innovation strategies to maximize the benefits to clients and workers and ensure full operational readiness of all improvement and transformation initiatives directly linked to Safeguard Global’s business strategy.
How you will make a difference:
Operational Transformation and Process Improvement
- Lead global initiatives to redesign and implement processes that ensure operational readiness and measurable improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and client delivery.
- Drive operational readiness, the adoption of AI and automation, and manage non-product change management activities.
Team Leadership and Development
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of team members. Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Always adhere to and demonstrate the Safeguard Global company values leading by example to direct reports. Define and communicate roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities to direct reports.
Program and Performance Management
- Develop and implement robust program management standards with strong governance.
- Create and ensure execution of comprehensive project plans integrating multiple workstreams
- Monitor and report on operational transformation impacts, ensuring ROI and alignment with business strategy.
- Establish and maintain performance metrics and KPIs.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Collaborate with client teams, product development, engineering, and cross-functional teams to align initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders on project status, achievements, challenges and risks. Maintain/report monthly KPI’s as required by the business.
- Develop dynamic client adoption and deployment strategies.
- Work closely with Global Program Management to track and communicate operational roadmaps and milestones.
Innovation and Industry Insight
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation and adaptability.
What will make you stand out:
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale transformation initiatives, process optimization, and automation within defined timelines and budget. Added bonus if you have used Ai to help achieve this.
- Proven ability to manage globally distributed teams and hybrid workforces.
- Strong interpersonal, consultative, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and project risk management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to resolve misunderstandings and errors in a diplomatic manner.
- Clear ability to help an organization change and adapt its ways of working to reflect growth and scale as it occurs.
- Strong, positive track-record of innovation and collaboration – able to work with diverse teams in diverse locations, engaging their input and commitment to success.
