F-22 Support Engineering Technical Manager

The Boeing Company is seeking a Site Manager to oversee F-22 flight simulator operations at Tyndall AFB, FL. The Site Manager will be responsible for all aspects of site operations and will lead the team of assigned Boeing personnel. This position will split time between management and technician duties.

Due to the geographic isolation of the site and time zone differences, the site manager is entrusted to represent The Boeing Company to the USAF customers on a 24/7/365 basis with minimal real-time oversight from Senior Management.

The site manager will lead the team to ensure contractual availability, security, and safety requirements are met or exceeded. The manager will work with the local contracting officer's representative and local base leadership to identify and resolve simulator system, facility, and personnel issues.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and works alongside employees performing technical or specialist activities within Product Support.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Maintains technical subject matter expertise on the training system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of U.S. Air Force or DoD aviation maintenance practices
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft flight simulator training device maintenance, or experience in aircraft avionics / electronics or computer network and information systems
  • Experience leading or managing multi-disciplined technical teams
  • Willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 4+ years of experience working on military flight simulation devices
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing multi-disciplined technical teams
  • Experience working with government and/or military organizations
  • Experience with F-22 Training Devices

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $105,400 – $142,600
