Job Summary

Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products. May evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical engineering services to glass manufacturing plants and mould vendors.
  • Provide accurate engineering for the manufacturing of mould equipment.
  • Provide training and development for mould engineering technicians.
  • Process replacements orders and ensure all the latest standards and any plant modifications are incorporated.
  • Order the proper castings and materials needed to manufacture requisitioned mould equipment.

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 – 4-year degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient knowledge of Solidworks system.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and excellent problem-solving skills preferred.
