We are growing our clientele and currently have a full-time, long-term opportunity for a Superintendent, Wet Utilities in our headquarters in Reston, Virginia. In this role you will utilize your experience in managing projects, multiple crews and supervise the day-to-day activities, while being an effective communicator to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Wet Utility Crews
  • Oversee installation of wet utilities ensuring quality work is being performed.
  • Deliver projects on time
  • Provide clients with work class customer service- must be comfortable talking directly with clients reps.
  • Ensure crews are performing their work safely.
  • Plan/Coordinate material deliveries with PM/APM
  • Attend site progress meetings with clients.
  • Detail Oriented- Providing clients with constant updates on the work so they are well informed with what we are doing and develop a sense of trust with our crews.
  • Train new field team members as needed.
  • Must work well with other team members.
  • Ensure foremen are filling out daily paperwork and turning in on time every day
  • Coordinate daily with office to plan for next days work and have all required items prepped and ready to go.
  • Read and decipher notes/details on project plans
  • Needs to understand how to read cut sheets and understand layout.
  • Recommend new ideas and strategies to help with continued growth of division. They should know that their ideas and strategies will always be heard and considered and that team collaboration is always welcomed. and office team

Physical Requirements:

  • Employee must be physically fit to perform duties of the job in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
  • Other physical requirements include walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or crawling.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
