About Zscaler

Zscaler accelerates digital transformation so our customers can be more agile, efficient, resilient, and secure. Our cloud native Zero Trust Exchange platform protects thousands of customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location.

Here, impact in your role matters more than title and trust is built on results. We believe in transparency and value constructive, honest debate—we’re focused on getting to the best ideas, faster. We build high-performing teams that can make an impact quickly and with high quality. To do this, we are building a culture of execution centered on customer obsession, collaboration, ownership and accountability.

We value high-impact, high-accountability with a sense of urgency where you’re enabled to do your best work and embrace your potential. If you’re driven by purpose, thrive on solving complex challenges and want to make a positive difference on a global scale, we invite you to bring your talents to Zscaler and help shape the future of cybersecurity.

Role

We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join our AI Security department on-site in Zagreb or Split, reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering - AI Red Team.

In this role, you will help accelerate growth in the highly competitive world of AI cybersecurity by blending expert software engineering with machine learning and an offensive security mindset. You will architect and build our next-generation AI Red Teaming platform, designing scalable systems that support cutting-edge security discovery, testing, and remediation features.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Drive the end-to-end creation of our AI Security Platform, from initial concept to final deployment, while shaping system architecture, engineering resilient microservices, and building sophisticated UI/UX
  • Dive deep into our system to investigate, debug, and resolve challenging application and infrastructure issues across production and development environments
  • Develop business value propositions based on customer situations and organizational offerings to drive impact
  • Work closely with the development team and cross-functional partners to shape the product roadmap based on direct customer needs

Who You Are (Success Profile)

  • You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it and see dynamic environments as the raw material to build something meaningful.
  • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action and you navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • You are a problem-solver. You seek out challenges because you are energized by finding solutions, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
  • You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself, embracing a challenge culture where candor is delivered with clarity and respect.
  • You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and never stop developing yourself, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Proficiency in software development with C#, Java, or NodeJS and TypeScript, including experience with a modern UI framework such as React or Angular
  • Foundational knowledge of a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and familiarity with platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
  • Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or AWS CloudWatch

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Direct experience or strong interest in AI Red Teaming, developing agentic systems, or working with large-scale control plane (MCP) server environments
  • Practical experience with Python scripting
  • Experience developing integrations against the APIs and webhooks of enterprise tools such as JIRA, GitHub, or Splunk
