Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with senior management, develop and update policies and procedures to align with corporately established policies and procedures, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for country locations.
  • Lead and primary contact to Latin America managers and employees on Human Resource related matters including compensation, benefits, hiring, onboarding, separation/termination, performance management, organizational development, recruitment, fringe benefits as well as employee relations and organizational policy.
  • Partner with staff to ensure proper administration of benefits and allowance, pay structure, and changes in employee information.
  • In partnership with Senior HRBP, HR Director, and corporate directives, drive the talent management process including the development of job descriptions, market research, and succession planning.
  • Monitor and advise US staff on changes in labor laws.
  • Responsible for execution and leading follow-up for HR strategic programs such as employee engagement survey, rewards & recognition programs to include all Latin America locations.
  • Encourage a workplace environment that values teamwork and fosters collaboration, acknowledge and reward staff contributions, and develop strategies to enhance synergies between staff as well as between headquarters and the various international partners in Alkegen.
  • Motivate staff performance and professional development, develop skilled managers and mentors, and provide partnership and sound counsel in the hiring, promotion, transfer and termination of staff.
  • Respond to and investigate employee grievances or conflicts and work closely with all parties involved. Provide managers and employees with training and tools to accomplish these tasks.
  • Work with US based and in country legal advisers to prepare and update employee agreements and/or contracts.
  • Work to secure needed talent, including working to help prepare descriptions, job postings, conducting interviews, assistance in the interview process, and obtaining references for applicants, as well as negotiating salaries with selected candidates.
  • Maintain needed talent pipeline to support growth.

  • Knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining/works council negotiation, contract administration.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a field relevant to Human Resources.
  • Minimum ten (10) years as an HR Business Partner; or a Master’s degree with seven (7) years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven record of success in developing and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid working knowledge of best practices in all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, human resource information systems, project management.
  • Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills and ability to apply knowledge appropriately to diverse situations and settings.
  • Knowledge of in country HR related laws and ability to research and advise on Laws and regulations affecting HR practices in their areas of responsibility.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
