You’ll play a critical role in strengthening how CommBank identifies, manages and governs AI, data and model risks by supporting safe innovation and customer trust.

You’ll join Group Audit & Assurance, part of a recognised, market‑leading internal audit function. Within GA&A, the Models, Data & AI Audit team provides independent, risk‑focused assurance and SME support across AI, GenAI, models and data.
 

Your Impact:

• Lead and support audits focused on AI, GenAI, models and data risk
• Assess the design and effectiveness of AI risk management frameworks and controls
• Partner with audit and business teams across Line 1 and Line 2
• Contribute to audit planning, scoping and delivery across complex risk themes
• Act as a trusted SME, translating technical concepts into clear risk insights
   

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Experience in internal audit, risk, compliance or assurance
• Background in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g. data science, statistics, engineering or similar) preferable
• Exposure to AI, data, models or technology risk (development, validation, governance or oversight)
• Understanding of model risk, AI governance, explainability or bias concepts
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical teams
• Ability to apply an audit mindset to emerging and evolving risk areas
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
