GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:   

The Manager, Sales Enablement is responsible for driving sales excellence within Eagle Life Insurance Company by delivering key reporting metrics and data driven insights.  This individual will develop or oversee the development of key tools including dashboards, analytics and modeling to support our go-to-market strategy.  Furthermore, this position creates and leads programs focused on improving the effectiveness of our Eagle Life Sales Team when working with financial professionals and National Accounts as they engage with our partner firms.

*This position sits in Des Moines, IA and will need to work a hybrid, in office schedule*

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the team responsible for providing data management, interpretation and analysis for Business Heads to support proposals and decision making that reflects the strategic, operational performance and financial goals of the organization.
  • Leads and executes complex data related analytical projects that drive business decisions and efficiencies. Identifies trends or anomalies.
  • Leads the ideation, design, and implementation of metrics, scorecards and reporting to amplify impact of the business unit or distribution channel.
  • Leads ideation, design, and implementation of CRM configuration.
  • Works with Heads of Sales and National Accounts to develop sales and management dashboards used for management of sales team and measurement of their success.
  • Leads development of propensity and next best action modeling to drive sales efforts to the highest value prospects.
  • Works with Heads of Sales and National Accounts to develop compensation models and provides sensitive compensation data to payroll for manual variable compensation administration and/or integration into a company payroll system.
  • Serves as owner of sales compensation platform. Partners with Human Resources to manage the system’s configuration and ensure successful processing of monthly compensation for sales force.
  • Works with Head of National Accounts to analyze firm trends, firm-specific sales effectiveness, and success of campaigns, including all broker dealer education conference activities.
  • Supports new business development by performing analytics on prospect firms as directed by Head of National Accounts.
  • Trains wholesalers and bank/broker dealer home office contacts on implementation and use of key financial planning and product comparison tools. May include presentations in front of an audience.
  • Develops and maintains training for External Wholesalers, Internal Wholesalers, and Service Specialists on Eagle Life Products, CRM, reports and systems testing.
  • Manages multiple projects and initiatives on behalf of the relationship management/business development area.
  • Generates data, creates reports, and conducts analysis for internal departments including but not limited to Service, Communications, Resolutions, Legal, IT, Actuarial and New Business.
  • Develops and maintains various reports on cost-of-sales for distribution and ROI on partner firms.
  • Develops and maintains written procedures for all Sales Enablement and Business Analyst processes.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development Analyst II

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business, business analytics or related field of study; plus four (4) years of progressively responsible related business analysis and analytical experience supporting a similar marketing or sales function; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Excel and CRMs such as SalesForce, which the ability to optimize user experience in a related sales environment.
  • Leads and executes complex data analysis and modeling projects that drive business decisions and efficiencies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of business development, marketing and sales support best practices, procedures and related concepts and terminology.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents from regulatory agencies, and other members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to maintain company attendance, punctuality and dependability standards as stated in the company handbook.
