Nursing Director – Ambulatory

As the Ambulatory Nursing Director, you will direct the organization, coordinator and administration of patient care in the outpatient setting. Ambulatory Nursing Directors serve as a resource to Nurse Managers, educators and other caregivers regarding nursing practice and oversee the daily operations in collaboration with Nurse Managers. This position ensures that nursing and clinical practice are in accordance with nursing and organizational philosophy, standards and goals while contributing to strategic goals, caregiver development, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am – 4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assist with the direction, coordination and management of outpatient nursing areas.
Provide supervision and act as a resource to nurse managers, educators and clinical caregivers.
Collaborate with leadership regarding budget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity, key metrics and caregiver development.
Ensure adherence to nursing standards, best practices, regulatory requirements and Cleveland Clinic/Nursing Institute policies and procedures.
Promote innovation and ongoing professional development.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
Master's degree.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Four years of recent clinical experience.
One year of healthcare management experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in an ambulatory setting.
