Your New Role
As a Specialist, Flex Talent in Mexico, you will be responsible for supporting the management and administration of the organization's external workforce program in the Latin American region. Your role will involve coordinating and supporting the ongoing pay, management, and oversight of our external workforce program, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and best practices. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors to ensure value and performance, and contingent workers to optimize the utilization of contingent talent and contribute to the organization's talent acquisition and workforce management objectives.
You’ll work closely with colleagues and business units across our global network, including Production, Tech, People & Culture, and Commercial sectors, becoming an integral part of the global Flex Talent team. Your collaboration will extend to our Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring worldwide support and service excellence.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Contingent Workforce Management: Support the end-to-end management of the contingent workforce program, including vendor selection and management, talent pool and pipeline arrangements, contract administration, pay, onboarding, offboarding, and performance tracking.
- Vendor Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for vendor communication, ensuring effective collaboration, compliance with contractual obligations, and resolution of any vendor-related issues or concerns.
- Vendor Tendering: Assist with the drafting, evaluation, and implementation of new vendor tendering, collaborating with internal colleagues.
- Vendor Payments: Partner with finance, commercial and technology teams, ensure all vendor payments are accurate and made on time and to contract terms.
- Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Stay informed about relevant labor laws, tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements pertaining to contingent workers, ensuring adherence, and minimizing legal risks associated with contingent workforce management. Assist with LatAM worker tax assessments and vendor tax arrangements with advice from tax specialists.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Assist in monitoring and evaluating the performance of the contingent workforce program, tracking key metrics, generating reports, and providing insights to stakeholders for decision-making and program optimization.
- Contingent Worker Support: Serve as an escalation resource for contingent workers, addressing inquiries, providing guidance on policies and procedures, and facilitating effective communication between workers and relevant stakeholders. Understand and advise on worker payments and deductions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining and automating contingent workforce management processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of the program's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with HR, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Technology, and other relevant teams to align contingent workforce management strategies with organizational goals, ensuring an effective and compliant operating model. Serve as a partner and resource to our clients and businesses - supporting managers and advising on workforce issues consulting with Legal, Commercial, Finance and Tax as required.
- Attend regular meetings online with the global Flex Talent center of excellence.
- Assist with similar accountabilities, as required, across the Latin American region.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant experience. Additional certifications or training in contingent workforce management is a plus.
- 2+ years’ experience, experience with the contingent workforce in Latin America, particularly in Mexico.
- Experience in overseeing a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with vendor management systems (VMS), preferably Beeline.
- Comprehensive understanding of Mexican labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to contingent workers, as well as familiarity with broader Latin American labor standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage documentation and data.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English language, written and verbal.
- Professional Fluency in Portuguese is advantageous.
- Background in talent acquisition, Human Resources, or related fields is preferred.
- Understanding of tax law in Mexico as it pertains to the contingent workforce.
