Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Project Engineering Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia - IT

Accountabilities

As part of the Project Engineering Team, the Project Engineering Planner will define the Engineering Master Schedule, the resources allocation and all the activities needed to manage the Project plan in accordance to team priorities. In details, he/she will perform the following activities:

  • Supports the project team in the analysis of the scope of work, definition of the Work Breakdown Structure;
  • Develops an integrated Engineering master schedule across all functions involved with milestones, deliverables, resources, etc.. to monitor the Engineering milestones;
  • Identifying critical project paths;
  • Support to the Chief Engineer / Project Engineer in the coordination of Design Review internally and with the Customer;
  • Support for the preparation of reports on project progress and information prospects concerning budget control analysis;
  • Managing communication and reporting towards project team and stakeholders;
  • Working in relation to Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement and Testing Departments.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • +2 Years of experience to perform the aforementioned tasks as described in section above
  • Availability for domestic and overseas trips.
  • Good knowledge of Office suite
  • Attitude to work under pressure
  • Team-working attitude
  • Result orientation, dynamism and proactivity

Desired Skills/ Knowledge

  • Coming from mechanical sector and knowledge of the software SAP R3 and MS Project and P6 Primavera is a preferential title.

Education / Qualifications
 

Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Management is a preferential title)


Languages

Knowledge of written and spoken English at least B2/C1 level
