Job Description: Marketing Executive

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the India market to execute our branding & marketing campaign planning & execution, so that we can increase our brand awareness & preference, at the same time enlarge our Seat sold & sales value.

  • Responsible for the creation, development and execution of local marketing campaigns to achieve business objectives; monitoring the progress & result.

  • Report to the Marketing Manager and works closely to align plans to the business’s goals, direction and objectives; assist Manager to accomplish big MKT initiatives

  • Collaborate with the internal creative team for timely execution of the campaigns. Utilise creative channels to maximize promotional opportunities for AirAsia in a cost-efficient manner to build a consistent level of “buzz” around the brand.

  • Work with external media agencies right from briefing stage till execution for negotiating but not limited to better channels, rates etc. Act as a bridge between AirAsia and external partners. 

  • Work closely with cross functional teams to align campaign schedules /support to ensure smooth execution and consistency in communications. 

  • Liaise internally with the admin team for timely raising of PR, POs and with finance for timely payment to all agency partners.  

  • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness and competition ventures

  • Assist with any ad-hoc day to day tasks as required by the team. 

  • Look after Nepal, Srilanka, Maldives and Bangladesh as additional responsibility and drive campaigns in these markets . 

  • Would be responsible for marketing funded Online Travel Agents (OTA) campaigns. Drive more conversions on OTAs and expand our seats sold in India. 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline;

  • Experience within the airline, travel, or hospitality industries or similar consumer goods business is ideal but not necessary;

  • A passionate and creative go-getter with the ability to work independently with little supervision;

  • A commercial thinker with a keen sense of market & consumer trends, result oriented & multi task;

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand business financials;

  • A love for travel, and a keen understanding of different cultures;

  • Excellent verbal and written English;
