The Manager of Medical Staff Services will oversee and coordinate the activities of Medical Staff Coordinators. The incumbent in this position will support the Director’s managing the Rapid City Hospital Credentialing and Medical Executive Committees, and the reporting to the Board of Directors. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance for all peer review activities and document management. The incumbent is responsible for managing peer review/ code of conduct processes directly supporting the medical staff leaders in the process ensuring compliance with state and Federal laws and CMS COPs, The Joint Commission and National Committee for Quality Assurance accreditation standards. Required:
Education - Associates degree in Related Field or combination of equivalent years of experience and/or education can be considered to meet the Associates degree requirement
Certification - NAMSS Certification - Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM); OR Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), or ability to obtain within one (1) year
Experience - 3+ years Medical Staff, Credentialing, and Privileging experience
Preferred:
Education - Bachelors degree in Health Administration
Experience - 5+ years Medical Staff experience; 5+ years Management experience
