Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
The Principal Business Analyst in the Smart Manufacturing & AI (SMAI) organization drives Industry 4.0, digital transformation, and sophisticated analytics initiatives for Front‑End (FE) operations and planning. This role partners closely with FE operations, planning, engineering, supply chain, and global collaborators to deliver scalable solutions that improve wafer output, cycle time, prioritisation, and network‑level decision making.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the management of FE operations, planning groups, and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities across cycle time, output, bottleneck management, and fab efficiency.
Define and deliver FE digital solutions including digital twin models, optimization engines, simulation workflows, and decision‑support tools.
Integrate FE digital capabilities with supply chain systems to support short‑term tactical wafer starts, strategic wafer starts, long‑range planning, network supply allocation, and cost/space optimization.
Lead requirement definition for FE planning solutions such as localized and global resource planning, constraint analysis, and scenario simulation.
Partner with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and architects to deliver analytics, modeling, automation, and machine learning solutions.
Engage external vendors providing commercial optimization, simulation, industrial analytics, and decision‑support applications; confirm consistency with FE and planning needs.
Influence cross‑site alignment with FE COEs, factory operations, and supply chain partners to ensure consistent adoption and business impact.
Use data and critical metrics to assess performance, quantify benefits, and guide operational and strategic decision‑making.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or 5+ years’ experience in Front‑End semiconductor manufacturing, operations planning, or industrial engineering.
Strong domain knowledge in FE areas such as Lithography, Etch, CVD/PVD, Diffusion, CMP, Implant, Metrology, RDA, or PI.
Experience with digital transformation, planning systems, optimization, simulation, or industrial analytics.
Proven track record to lead cross‑functional projects delivering measurable improvements in output, cycle time, or capacity efficiency.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influence skills across global teams and leadership levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly organized and adaptable with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Experience working in a high tech semiconductor environment.
