Responsibilities

We’re seeking an experienced and creative Senior Strategic Events Manager to deliver high-impact, memorable experiences that align seamlessly with our brand and organizational goals. In this role, you will plan, organize, and execute a range of in-person events—from major tier-1 events like product launches and thought leadership conferences to Workato’s flagship annual conference and regional city tours. You’ll play a key role in crafting unique regional experiences that drive engagement, enhance brand awareness, and generate new business opportunities.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Events Strategy
    • Develop, strategize, and lead Workato’s high-impact events, including major conferences, product launches, and the flagship Workato customer conference.

    • Expand the Workato customer conference globally, adapting and scaling it to suit regional needs.

    • Drive community building through events that foster long-term customer relationships and active engagement.

  • Elevate the Event Brand and Experience globally
    • Partner with brand, product marketing, and regional marketing teams to ensure consistent, cohesive brand messaging across all major global events.

    • Design differentiated, impactful event experiences that build lasting connections with current and potential clients and partners.

  • Vendor & stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, regularly sharing insights, priorities, and event performance.

    • Oversee and maintain positive relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution and alignment with Workato’s brand standards.

  • Maximize ROI and Performance Tracking
    • Negotiate favorable vendor contracts, monitor budget utilization, and maximize ROI across all events.

    • Develop and manage KPIs to measure event success, track attendee satisfaction, and enhance brand engagement, using insights to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • 8+ years in marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role overseeing global events, executive programs, or community management.

  • Background in B2B, ideally within the cloud, enterprise SaaS, or software industry, focusing on IT audiences.

  • Proven record of executing customer conferences across diverse geographies and languages.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% locally and internationally for event oversight and team collaboration.

  • Proficiency in platforms Marketing automation platform (e.g. Marketo), CRM systems (e.g: Salesforce) and event platforms (e.g. Bizzabo, Cvent, Zoom webinar etc.)

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a strong ability to prioritize.

  • Meticulous in planning, execution, and follow-up to ensure flawless event delivery.

  • Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-oriented plan.

For California applicants, the pay for this role begins at $135,000 plus variable, benefits, perks, and equity.
