Responsibilities include:

  • Developing digital service sales funnel and meeting sales quota.
  • Understand and follow sales processes to generate revenue and digital subscription.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of the new services and competition status.
  • Deep understanding of markets, customers, and competitors to target needs and drive sales.
  • Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales forecast.
  • Generate timely sales reports.
  • Conduct market research, trends, competitors and customer analysis.
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives and strategies.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital sales, digital platforms, technical markets, pricing models, channels of distribution, technology trends, customer buying patterns and budgeting.

Job brief

  • Digital Service Sales Engineer role is customer facing and you will be responsible to generate sales pipeline, position OpenBlue solution portfolio to the excising install-base and new customers to ensure high customer satisfaction index and expand our service business.

  • Educate and encourage our service customers to leverage digital technology and new innovative approaches. Position JCI as their partner throughout their digital transformation journey.

  • Educate and promote OpenBlue digital service portfolio, the IoT, Digital solutions and services within the commercial construction and vertical markets that includes existing install-base as well new customers in various vertical business.

  • Develop and present digital transformation roadmaps to our customers, define projects and implementation and integration recommendations that best match with the customer’s existing environment and that meet customer expectations.

  • Identify, reach, and engage key decision makers and influencers through existing relationships, networking, personal connections, client references, and industry events.

  • Develop Digital Service Business strategies. Generate new leads, identify and qualify opportunities to Upsell / Cross Sell and generate additional Pull through Business.

  • In case of customer specific development needs, collaborate with the technical team to define prototypes and proof of concepts.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Electrical or Computer Engineering with minimum 3-5 years of Sales experience with emphasis on digitalization and digital services.

  • Familiarity with HVAC and Building Management System (BMS). Knowledge of common HVAC and electrical building codes, IoT, Cloud offering & Industry 4.0.

  • Have Proven track record and technology expertise to drive solutions and services around Digital and Data driven services, Energy & Asset performance services, Predictive Maintenance analytics, Fault Detection & Diagnostics, System performance monitoring & reporting and Building Performance optimization.

  • Have willingness and flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically as required.
