Your New Role: 

The Director, Production & Acquisition Deliverables Governance is a key role within the Global Content Operations organization, responsible for multiple spheres within delivery and pipeline governance. This role determines and enforces global technical specifications for all content types, including scripted & unscripted, in collaboration with key stakeholders across the technology organizations, Production, Programming, and GCO.    The Director will also centralize and standardize global production and delivery guidelines, ensure the capture and governance of all required materials and documentation, govern production & licensing pipeline metadata, and oversee the vendor onboarding process to ensure consistency and adherence to data governance policies.   Strategic planning, leading key global initiatives, change leadership and innovation are critical in this role for ensuring alignment to WBD corporate goals.     

Your Role Accountabilities:

Global Technical Specifications & Production Guidelines: 

  • Collaborate with the global technology organizations, Production, Programming, and GCO to establish and enforce global technical specifications and standards for media and document deliverables. 

  • Develop, implement, and manage a centralized source of truth for global production and licensing specifications & guidelines. 

  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory and accessibility requirementsIdentify and mitigate risks. 

Governance of Expected & Actual Deliverables across all content projects: 

  • Establish governance processes to capture, organize, and manage contracted/expected materials and documentation and associated metadata which enables reporting and ensures efficiency throughout the content lifecycle. 

  • Lead communications regarding the pipeline of production deliverables, the process for accepting and triggering payments, and informing downstream parties (Programming, Acquisitions, Finance, Legal, Operations) of the status of production delivery across the board. 

Pipeline Metadata Governance 

  • Establish processes to capture and govern prioritization and delivery timeline metadata.  

  • Support data analytics needs for Global Day & Date initiatives. 

Vendor Onboarding and Management: 

  • Manage the onboarding of global vendors into the WBD content supply chain in partnership with GCO Content Management and Production teams. 

  • Develop and enforce SOPs, focusing on consistent technical metadata capture and process adherence. 

  • Lead team providing training and support to vendors on technical specifications and governance processes.  

Stakeholder Collaboration and Best Practices: 

  • Lead communication and work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders internally and externally to support global deliverables requirements for all distribution platforms. 

  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices, WBD strategic goals, and corporate initiatives. 

  • Determines long-term vision for deliverables management and governance.  

  • Partners with Data Analytics teams and Enterprise Data Governance organization. 

Key Initiatives & Content System Development 

  • Lead and participate in critical initiatives to drive content system innovation and centralizationAlign with operational and technical roadmap to bring about system and operational efficiencies. 

  • Analyze potential for AI/ML opportunities and partner with global technology organizations and external vendors.  

Management 

  • Resource planning, forecasting and budgeting of internal and external resource required to fulfil operational commitments, with ability to scale as required. 

  • Recognize and develop talent across the team, in support of company goals. Foster a culture of engagement in line with company values. 

 

Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant work experienceAdvanced degree is a plus.  

  • 7+ years of experience in media deliverables management, or a related field, with a focus on global operations.  

  • Proven experience in building and enforcing technical specifications and SOPs.  

  • Strong understanding of production workflows, technical documentation, and metadata management.  

  • Media Project management experience

  • Experience in vendor management and onboarding, with a focus on quality and compliance.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $130,995.00 - $243,276.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
