JR56157 Senior Splunk Engineer

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Design, develop and implement Splunk dashboards and alerts to support the Global HPC Team
  • On-board new data sources into Splunk, analyze the data and build dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data.
  • Manage Splunk knowledge objects (Apps, Dashboards, Saved Searches, Scheduled Searches, Alerts)
  • Experience deploying/handling Splunk indexer clusters and search head clusters
  • You will design for performance and scalability across a global WAN environment
  • Work with customers and peers to develop requirements for new reports and dashboards
  • Deep understanding for enabling the business through sophisticated analysis of data
  • Experience developing and providing training to operational support teams
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and maintain positive relationships with colleagues around the globe
  • You strive to collaborate effectively in a multifaceted environment
  • You are ambitious, focused and dedicated

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in administrating and developing Splunk environments
  • Strong experience of Linux with scripting knowledge (Bash and Python)
  • Degree/Major: BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field
  • You are proficient with MySQL/MariaDB queries
  • Proven experience with Restful APIs

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven background in Python, Bash, HTML, XML, and JSON
  • You have experience with common web languages and technologies, along with machine learning
  • You have deep knowledge in Electronic Design Automation environments
