Alliance Ground International is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to lead and enhance our day-to-day financial activities. This role is a key part of our team, reporting directly to the VP Finance and Controller, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations.
  • Oversee monthly and year-end financial close processes.
  • Direct the annual financial audit process.
  • Maintain monthly account reconciliations for all general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable financial reports aligning with accounting principles for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement, document, and optimize processes to automate reporting cycles, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
  • Prepare weekly cash forecasts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments.
  • Manage regulatory reporting, including tax compliance.
  • Participate in the accounting integration of future acquisitions.
  • Anticipate and address ad hoc requests and inquiries, performing additional duties as required.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance and accounting department.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6+ years’ experience in accounting and finance within a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferably, some experience in Public Accounting.
  • Accounting degree/CPA preferred.
  • Strong grasp of financial and accounting policies, internal control procedures, and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of engaging colleagues across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Workday preferred).
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to use close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule:

  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The ability to travel 10-30% of the time is required.
