Working as a Business Development Manager on the Target Plus™ Partner Services team, you will leverage your awesome people and communication skills to forge the highly productive and professional relationships necessary to drive your business between multiple internal and external stakeholders, including:
Marketplace Partners - Leverage a client-centric approach to help market, consult, and prescribe the services we offer to the brands & retailers selling on our marketplace (marketplace partners). Present strategic recommendations based on your client’s key objectives, through compelling and effective guidance on specific marketplace service offerings, which currently span digital marketing & content, and will evolve to include financial and fulfillment services.
Service Providers - Maintain strong, consultative relationships with our service providers’ sales teams to ensure high-quality leads are handed off smoothly and with a high probability of successful closing. Service provider sales teams are both internal to Target (e.g. Roundel), and external to Target (e.g. our many content service providers).
Marketing & Communications Teams – Develop and execute strong direct marketing strategies by partnering with the Partner Services Comms & Target Plus Marketing teams to drive awareness of partner service offerings.
Target Plus™ Cross Functional Team – Partner closely with leaders across the core Target Plus™ team, including Partner Acquisition, Partner Onboarding, and Category Management, to generate a pipeline of high-potential leads for partner services.
Target Plus™ Partner Services Team - Build a synergistic peer relationship with the Sr. Manager of Marketplace Services to continually improve service offerings by providing marketplace partner feedback on products, services, service providers, pricing, and overall client experience.
Financial Planning & Analysis – Collaborate with Target+ financial analyst & partner service providers to invoice, collect, track, forecast, and report partner service revenue and create action plans to ensure revenue and participation goals are met or exceeded.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Developing marketing and business development materials to drive awareness for Target Plus™ Partner Services
Driving revenue growth by building a strong pipeline of opportunities, identifying, qualifying and connecting new and existing marketplace partners to the appropriate services & providers
Demonstrating curiosity to understand individual client needs, and driving consideration through prescriptive recommendations to help them succeed on the Target Plus™ platform
Balancing the short-term art of business development with the long-term needs for client success
Optimizing the lead pipeline through the science of process and the use of tools like Salesforce
Advocating on behalf of marketplace partners to continually improve our services to meet their needs
Providing weekly account updates to the Target Plus™ cross functional team in our Weekly Business Review (WBR) forum, and monthly revenue forecast updates in the Target Plus™ Priority Business Review (PBR) forum

About you:
Bachelor’s Degree (required), or Master’s Degree
5+ years’ experience in retail and/or ecommerce, with preferred experience within digital marketplace services, digital media sales, agency, marketing, or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and maximize relationships with both internal and external partners.
Strong, succinct communicator that understands individual audience needs and tailors the message
Ability to think strategically, problem solve and identify opportunities
Thrives in ambiguity and able to flex with changing priorities
Proven track record of revenue growth and accountability
Must be willing to travel as necessary
