Northrop Grumman is seeking Database Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Corporate sector in Melbourne, FL.

Roles and Responsibilities

This person will perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; adjusts, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in Production or Quality Assurance.  Focus will be on database operations involving Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026

• Be majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline

• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.

• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher

• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB administration

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure Cloud a plus

• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, PL/SQL) a plus

Intern Pay Range:

Bachelor’s: $17.75 to $32.75 per hour

Master’s: $25.50 to $40.50 per hour
