Under direct supervision, provide administrative support for payroll and Human Resources functions at the service center.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain close contact with Corporate Human Resources for questions related to OD policies and procedures, and state/federal employment laws and regulations
  • Prepare weekly payroll, status changes, and wage/salary administration file for approval and submission
  • Process all new employee applications including scheduling new hires for interviews, preparing and posting internal and external job openings, and assist with the hiring process
  • Coordinate driver drug testing, physicals and maintain DOT driver files
  • Track employee leaves and entitlements including non-pay, call-ins, no calls no shows, and PTO record
  • Direct employee questions concerning benefits, insurance, and 401(k) enrollments to the corporate benefits team
  • Direct employees with questions about FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability and Worker’s Compensation cases to the appropriate corporate department
  • Assist employees by scanning and emailing documents to corporate  
  • Process employee orders for uniforms and distribute to department personnel
  • Handle all employee information confidentially

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • 1 year of payroll and/or HR experience, preferably in transportation industry
  • Experience with AS400 and SAP
  • Experience in Human Resources with a focus on recruitment, payroll and wellness/benefits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,

Working Shift:

AM
