The role
Due to a robust pipeline of work, our leading Competition practice is seeking a talented senior lawyer or early senior associate to join our Sydney team.
In this role, you'll be working closely with Sian Ooi, Kirsten Webb, Bruce Lloyd, as well as other senior practitioners, tackling a diverse array of competition law, infrastructure access, and economic regulatory matters. Your work will span various sectors, including energy, water, ports, and rail, offering you the opportunity to engage with complex issues and make a meaningful impact.
Skills & Experience
4-6 years' experience in a reputable commercial law firm or in-house
Demonstrated experience in competition law and economic regulatory work
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise your time across a number of busy matters
The ability to work both independently and part of a cohesive, multi-disciplinary practice
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, required for building stakeholder relations and maintaining a positive team environment
A genuine commitment to client service and desire to engage in business development activities
The Competition Team
Our competition team is a market leader in infrastructure access and regulation and has been actively involved in third-party access proceedings in the Australian Competition Tribunal, Federal Court, and High Court. With specialized regulatory expertise across various infrastructure sectors, we provide clients with informed and strategic legal advice tailored to their needs. Our team boasts extensive experience in engaging constructively with the ACCC, enhancing our ability to offer the strategic insights necessary to help our clients achieve their objectives.
