Role Summary:  

Responsible for end‑to‑end MRO procurement, ensuring uninterrupted plant operations by sourcing engineering spares, consumables, and services. Manages PVC/CPVC scrap sale with transparency and maximized recovery. Drives supplier audits and procurement excellence initiatives to improve cost, quality, and process efficiency.

Roles and Responsibility:

  • Source and procure spares for extrusion lines, injection moulding machines, utilities, and plant equipment.

  • Purchase electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic spares, tools, PPE, and maintenance consumables.

  • Manage RFQs, negotiations, PO finalization, and delivery follow‑ups.

  • Support urgent breakdown requirements with timely procurement.

  • Develop alternate suppliers and drive cost‑saving/value engineering initiatives.

  • Manage AMCs for compressors, DG sets, HVAC, utilities, lab equipment, etc.

  • Handle PVC, CPVC, moulding scrap, grinder scrap, and packaging/metal scrap.

  • Prepare lots, conduct auctions/e‑tenders, and ensure compliance with GST & documentation.

  • Monitor lifting, weighment, and ensure timely payments.

  • Benchmark market rates to maximize scrap realization.

  • Conduct supplier audits covering capability, quality systems, safety, and delivery performance

  • Maintain supplier scorecards and drive CAPA with underperforming suppliers.

  • Support vendor onboarding and compliance with QHSE and statutory requirements.

  • Support internal & external procurement audits.

  • Maintain procurement trackers, savings reports, supplier audit records, and scrap sale MIS.

  • Ensure full ERP compliance (SAP).

Requirement:

  • Overall, with 8 - 10 Yrs of experience in procurement.

  • With Education Qualification of BE/ B.Tech/B.Com/MBA

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in supplier audits and compliance.

  • Understanding of scrap handling processes.

  • Knowledge of contracts and legal compliance.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Support plant teams ie. operations, quality, stores and safety departments.

  • Vendor issue resolutions.
