The Manager, Performance Insights leads the analysis, preparation, and communication of InvestorLine’s performance to InvestorLine and BMO stakeholders.  The Manager uses in-depth understanding of InvestorLine’s clients and business to synthesize relevant communications (e.g., reports, presentations, written memos, etc.) for various stakeholder groups.  The Manager acts as a trusted advisor on business and client insights and works directly with all members of the Senior Leadership Team. They consult on analytical solutions to understand, analyze, and synthesize requirements, goals and objectives relative to data and business intelligence needs and to enable high-quality, fact-based business decisions to drive better business outcomes.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to InvestorLine’s Senior Leadership Team on business performance and insights by leading the design, development, and implementation of performance reporting for stakeholders across and within the organization, including Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Senior Leadership, and working teams.
  • Designs and produces ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, dashboards, and performance commentary.
  • Supports strategic planning process, through scenario planning and analysis and review of market and competitive trends
  • Supports preparation of forecasts, plans and targets
  • Monitors performance against forecast, plan and target and collaborates with business partners to develop compelling written narratives that illustrate performance facts, trends, and insights.
  • Uses deep understanding of InvestorLine’s business operations and strategy to focus on the most relevant performance insights for each audience.
  • Drives performance insight processes independently and regularly handles non-routine situations
  • Proactively identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide subject matter insights and recommendations.
  • Promotes reporting automation, self-serve analytics consumption, and the culture of analytics-driven decision making.
  • Documents and maintain operational procedures and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in consulting (internal or external) is considered an asset
  • Previous experience analyzing and presenting performance metrics, and writing narratives explaining performance for executives
  • Knowledge and experience in data preparation and statistical tool such as PowerBI, Power Query, SQL, SAS, R, Python, MATLAB, SPSS is considered an asset.

Salary:

$68,000.00 - $126,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
