What we want 

We are seeking a Transcript Analyst who will be responsible for examining, evaluating, and entering student academic records to determine Admission eligibility, as well as assisting with other undergraduate processing and answering admissions-related inquiries from prospective students, parents, and the academic departments. We envision our ideal individual will have a competency in communication skills, organizational skills, function well in a challenging environment, and be able to work effectively on projects independently. What you need to know

Salary: $15.85/hourly (Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience)

Position Details: Must be able to work extended hours during peak processing season.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of work processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Ability to organize work effectively, prioritize objectives, and manage time with a high level of discretion and independent judgement.

  • Excellent written communication and analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently once given a project.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities  

Admissions Documentation and Analysis

  • Assists in processing and evaluating transcripts and other educational credentials

  • Assists in processing other required admissions documentation, such as proof of residency and immunizations.

  • Assists with preparation of articulation guides for junior/senior Texas Colleges and Universities.

  • Examines, evaluates, and enters student academic records to determine eligibility using the various information systems.

  • Prepares admission-related documents for review.

Office Support and Customer Service

  • Answers general office emails; assists with walk-in traffic and telephone inquiries regarding admissions-related issues.

  • Works cooperatively with Admissions Processing staff to improve operations and provide quality customer service.

High Priority Tasks

  • Completes high priority admissions-related tasks according to supervisor instructions.
