Summary:

Act as Senior Java Software Engineer and Team Lead responsible for the enhancement and maintenance of one or more Alpha/Charles River Development modules or components of an agile scrum team.

 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River’s business and technical problem domains including modifications to core frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operation
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problems
• Direct problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issues
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications and projects using Java and being open to learn and utilize needed languages
• Provide informed guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during code reviews
• Provide troubleshooting on large, mission critical client implementations
• Engage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Plan and coordinate cross-team activities groups to complete assignments
• Demonstrate more independence of design and development
• Mentor and guide Junior Engineers
• Lead a team of engineers both from technical and managerial perspective

 

Qualifications:

Recommended Education:

• B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.

 

What we are looking for:

• At least 7 years of experience with full lifecycle of project development for Java applications from similar industry and 2 years of experience in leading the team
• Strong skills in core Java, server-side Java technologies, and Spring frameworks using Agile methodologies and SQL database
• Experience in backend technologies like Kafka, Microservices
• At least 1-2 years of experience leading a team of 6 -10 people (this includes managing employee through whole life cycle from hiring to offboarding)

 

Nice To have

• Experience / understanding of Kubernetes and experience with a cloud platform: Azure, etc.
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with object-oriented programming Relational databases (RDBMS), scripting and new/advanced programming languages
• Experience Frontend technologies like React, Angular
• Experience in financial services developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR or Wealth Management

Minimum Salary:​

zł182 004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
