As Operations Manager, you’ll be an influential member of our London-based Global Delivery Operations department. You’ll work as part of our Planning & Performance team, the team responsible for developing scalable solutions to improve our delivery performance globally, where you’ll collaborate with Delivery Product, local Operations and Data Science teams to build, improve and standardise our global operational processes.

You’ll be tackling problems where there might be multiple solutions or the solution might not be obvious. You’ll be strong analytically as you will have to go deep to understand what is happening in order to develop your hypotheses. You’ll also need to be able to communicate comfortably to all levels in the organisation, getting to the heart of the issue to bring people onboard and get us to take action. You’ll work on one-off analysis such as order duration analysis in Hong Kong, or larger model builds such as a decision making framework for applying surge by balancing cost and service considerations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Problem identification - Take an ambiguous request and conduct your own analysis, working with other teams and markets, to get to the root of the problem
  • Solution building - Create an aligned solution to problems - this may be a spreadsheet model or a new standard operating procedure that you have built and designed, or it could be a Product or DS solution that you have helped to facilitate.
  • Roll out - When required, work with users in local markets to pick up your solutions. Influencing others to improve uptake so we are all leveraging best practice globally through standardised & scalable ways of working.
  • Iterate and improve - Take feedback and have an approach of continuous improvement to everything we do. We don’t wait for the perfect solution before we roll out, but will hold ourselves to a high bar to make things better.

Requirements

  • Analytically strong - take an unstructured problem space, give it structure, find the data and generate insights
  • Strong written & verbal communicator - turn your analysis into something digestible by all levels and experience in the organisation
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration - build relationships & trust across global ops teams and product to support the adoption of your processes
  • SQL experience required, Python experience beneficial
  • Consulting experience or analytical experience in a similar industry preferred but not required
