Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategic direction, lifecycle management, and commercial success of the dental implant portfolio. This role bridges cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, regulatory, clinical, and sales to deliver innovative, compliant, and market-leading implant solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap
    • Define and execute product strategy aligned with company objectives
    • Develop and maintain product roadmaps for implant systems, prosthetics, and digital workflows
    • Identify market opportunities through customer insights, trends, and competitive analysis
  • Lifecycle Management
    • Manage full product lifecycle from concept through launch, growth, and end-of-life
    • Drive product enhancements, line extensions, and portfolio optimization
    • Monitor product performance, profitability, and market share
  • Market & Customer Insights
    • Engage with clinicians, labs, DSOs, and KOLs to gather voice-of-customer insights
    • Analyze trends in implantology, including digital dentistry and full-arch solutions
    • Conduct competitive benchmarking
  • New Product Development (NPD)
    • Partner with R&D to define product requirements, indications, and design inputs
    • Support clinical validation and usability feedback
    • Ensure alignment with regulatory and quality requirements (FDA)
  • Commercialization & Launch
    • Lead product launches, including positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy
    • Develop training materials, sales tools, and marketing messaging
    • Support global and regional sales teams with product expertise
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Collaborate with regulatory, quality, operations, and supply chain teams
    • Act as the central point of contact for product-related decisions
    • Align stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Financial & Business Performance
    • Build business cases and forecasts for new products
    • Track revenue, margin, and ROI
    • Manage product P&L

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science preferred and / or 5+ years experience working in a medical or dental device company / environment; or a combination of both experience and education. Product launch experience perferred. New product development with implantable product experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have excellent grammar, spelling and typing skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of principles and methods involved in classical marketing including research, advertising promotion and public relations. This includes marketing strategies and tactics, product demonstration and sales techniques.
  • Knowledge of dental techniques needed to assist in technical layouts and product releases.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of the dental industry in general and more specifically the segments targeted in the implant industry.
  • Knowledge of creative advertising, promotion, research, public relations and production.
  • Strong track record of meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Must have the ability to analyze, evaluate and estimate sales trends.
  • Ability to keep an eye on the big picture and work towards changes directed at a larger overall goal.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Quark Express a plus.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
