JOB OVERVIEW

Ohmium is seeking a Senior Manager, Deal Desk to report to our Commercial Operations Leader. You have a proven track record of driving proposal/contract development and order management processes. and are savvy in reporting and data analysis. You must provide frontline deal desk support for our dynamic and collaborative sales team, working with other important stakeholders such as legal and finance. This role is an individual contributor role and is global in scope, supporting Ohmium commercial efforts around the world.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a trusted advisor and valuable partner to Ohmium’s Commercial and Legal Teams by standardizing, driving and supporting the proposal/contract development and order management processes
  • Work closely with the field teams to gather proposal and deal information, assess requirements, and provide support in structuring complex, non-standard deals working with multiple cross functional partners
  • Review proposals, contracts and other documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Suggest creative proposal and contract solutions balancing customer needs and Ohmium policies
  • Ensure all proposals and contracts are approved within pricing and discount policies
  • Interface to finance and legal as needed (i.e. revenue recognition and contract language) to facilitate approval of non-standard deals
  • Tightly manage the overall contract negotiation process through contract negotiation lifecycle, ensuring new and emerging terms are vetted and approved with appropriate audiences across Ohmium
  • Provide sales on-going guidance on elements of a "good deal"/”perfect order” utilizing historical trends in conjunction with current compliance policies
  • Partner with broader Commercial Operations to ensure data accuracy in Microsoft Dynamics CRM as well as recommend enhancements to CRM (e.g., use of a CPQ or CLM tool)
  • Work alongside Commercial teams to ensure proposal/contract and other templates are always up to date in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other repositories.
  • Provide sales training and enablement on proposal/deal process and available templates
  • Document workflow, internal controls, procedures and maintain audit checks around proposal/contract development and order management

LOCATION, TRAVEL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work location is the Ohmium US, CA (bay-area) office 
  • Must be willing to occasionally interface with time different time zones such as India, EU.

FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in early-stage (Series B, Series C) businesses a plus

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-6+ years experience in Deal Desk and/or related roles; work with capital equipment and/or broader manufacturing businesses is a big plus
  • Experience designing, standardizing and scaling deal desk processes
  • Highly organized with extraordinary attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, legal, finance, and IT
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high-volume during end of month and quarter
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM; proficiency in CPQ/CLM tools a big plus
  • Strong to expert proficiency in MS Office
