WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Taking ownership for the P&L of a dedicated client sector portfolio in the DACH and Nordics region, generate new business with Export Finance products and grow the business over time;

• Identify opportunities and originate deals in the area of Export Credit and Agency Financing with Santander's Commercial and Investment Banking clients based in DACH and Nordics, working hand-in-hand with global product as well as support teams;

• Support the execution of export finance and project finance transactions including structuring activities (business model reviews, coordination with advisors and other banks, cash flow modelling etc);

• Taking ownership of approval processes;

• Internal liaison with relationship bankers, other geographies and relevant product groups to ensure successful origination, structuring and execution of transactions;

• Continuously gather market intelligence and advice clients on all matters concerning the optimization of Export Credit and Agency Financing, including peer analysis, market assessments, international benchmarking etc...;

• Assume external advocacy roles and represent the Bank at relevant conferences, associations and business communities, in order to build up Santander's branding and thought leadership.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have ca. 5 years of experience in Banking or in the financial industry and a good knowledge of Export Finance.

EDUCATION

B.A. in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent. Additional qualifications in banking, finance, or economics are a plus.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• The candidate should demonstrate expertise in export finance products, structures and geographies including the ability to prepare product pitches, structuring transactions and identifying opportunities.

• Background in project / structured finance are a plus

• Fluency in English and good knowledge in German or any of the Nordic languages. Spanish would be a plus.

OTHER INFORMATION

The candidate should be flexible to travel and participate in client meetings in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and in the Nordics region.
