The Head of Corporate Sales is a key leadership position within our Global Sales and Distribution team. In this role you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for sustainable revenue growth and new business acquisition to grow and retain important market share for the Qantas Group in the Corporate travel segment. You will maximise revenue through embedding innovative approaches and ensuring alignment with sales and company objectives including sustainability. 

As Head of Corporate Sales you will manage the end-to-end Corporate Sales proposition, lead Business Development activities and set the Corporate Sales strategy. This team is responsible for accounts throughout Australia including critical enterprise and university contracts. You will leverage your leadership skills to support and develop a high-performing national sales team and collaborate with centralised sales departments, leveraging innovative approaches to align with and exceed sales objectives. 

What you’ll bring to the role:  

  • 10+ years experience in Senior Leader roles within commercial or sales, with proven success setting and delivering strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a complex business environment.

  • Highly developed negotiation, communication, organisational, influencing and leadership skills at senior levels.

  • Exceptional people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop high performing teams.

  • Expertise in strategic selling, account management, contract negotiation and business planning within a competitive sales environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Global Sales market environment and familiarity with Qantas’ key marketing and distribution tools. 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a deep understanding of pricing and dealing principles. 

  • Strong commercial orientation and high level of business acumen.

  • Ability to build a high performing culture within the direct and indirect team.

  • Demonstrated ability to offer unique perspectives on business issues, analyse data and information, and create customised solutions for customers.

  • Experience in leading and driving change
