Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:
• Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver software solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members for professional development, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and performance assessments.
• Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, supporting the alignment of technology with business goals.
• Lead agile development processes, managing sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to ensure high-quality code and design.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact project timelines.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Experience in a managerial role, overseeing teams and/or projects
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to manage software projects and resources effectively

Other Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus

Skills Required:

Individual will be a member of the SKF account Global XA Applications Maintenance Program.  Individual will join the existing team to provide production support for XA installations in APAC & EMEA Regions along with other home grown applications in iSeries.  It is planned that this team member will become a SME and fulfill a tech lead role for all the environments in the region for the applications involved.

XA (formerly known as MAPICS) is a third party application provided by Infor.  XA is an iSeries application with a Citrix hosted client front end.

DXC will provide 1st and 2nd level application monitoring and support for the user and the environment.  When necessary, DXC will engage the 3rd party for 3rd level support on behalf of the client. 

The position responsibilities are as follows:

  • Interfaces directly with the client.
  • Provides day to day support for XA integration installation projects where we build new instances of applications, integrate with other applications and provides support to user community.  This application utilizes the Powerlink and Link Manager components running on a Citrix platform.
  • Analyzes and resolves complex business problems related to XA application processing.   Experience with and knowledge about the XA application is must.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Interfaces with the 3rd Party Vendor when necessary to identify and correct application problems. 
  • Installs 3rd Party provided PTF (application fixes), PCMs and full application upgrades.
  • Designs, prepares and executes unit and system tests to validate solutions.
  • Excellent team player that can handle pressure situations and open to take calls outside office hours.
  • Completes documentation for all application and data changes per account SICS audit requirements.
  • Should be flexible to work in shifts.
  • Requires written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • ILE and RPG/400, Query 400, CL, DB2/400, Source Entry Utility, Data File Utility, SQL Interactive, Application Development Toolkit (PDM), IBM Advanced Job Scheduler, FTP, Query Manager, SQL, Job Scheduler Spool Handler, Hawkeye, Implementer
  • Knowledge in Infor XA ERP application is mandatory. 

Technical Skill set Required:

  • Strong understanding of the ERP – Infor XA (previously called Mapics)
    • Should have excellent understanding of following Infor XA Module – CAS , EPDM/PDM, IM , MRP , PUR, PMC & PCC
    • Infor XA Powerlink knowledge
    • Infor XA Link Manager Knowledge
    • Infor XA System Link Experience
    • Infor XA Net link knowledge
    • Expertise in PCM upgrades and PTF installations
  • Domain Knowledge of Supply Chain Management
  • AS400/RPGLE/SQL knowledge
  • Experience in job schedulers available in AS400/iSeries system.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)

Business Process Knowledge -- Manufacturing, Planning, XA supporting business processes added advantage.

College degree required.
