As a Systems Design Engineer Intern at ADI, you will gain hands-on experience in integrating hardware and software systems, working alongside experienced engineers to co-design, test, and optimize system architectures. You will assist in developing system code using C, C++, and Python, while also contributing to the design of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) that support system objectives. This internship will provide valuable exposure to the full lifecycle of system design and optimization, preparing you for a career in systems engineering. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the co-design of hardware and software systems to optimize system performance. 

  • Help develop and test system code in C, C++, and Python under the guidance of senior engineers. 

  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to support system integration and optimization tasks. 

  • Participate in PCB design and optimization activities to ensure system reliability and manufacturability. 

  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts to enhance system performance. 

Skills You Will Need to be Successful: 

  • HW/SW Co-Design: Basic understanding of hardware/software integration and co-design principles. 

  • Python (Programming Language): Developing skills in writing and testing Python code for system applications. 

  • C (Programming Language): Familiarity with C programming for system design and testing. 

  • C++ Programming Language: Introductory knowledge of C++ for developing system-level applications. 

  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design: Basic understanding of PCB design, with a focus on system performance. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 

  • Prior coursework or projects related to hardware/software design and programming. 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
